I have 3 Puppies left out of litter of 10. whelped august 3rd. I have one Solid Liver male and two White Patched and Ticked females left. The parent's AKC #'s and/or names don't appear on the OFA website in correlation to GSH Pointer results. Do you by chance have a direct link to thier clearances?

You need to provide a direct link to the sire and dam's OFA clearances. That is one of the requirements for posting on the board.
The third pup looks like a nice kid, btw...just not in the market right now.

I thought it is a friendly place for the shorthair lovers but apparently it is look like the place for Stock ups with unfulfilled drive for authoritarianism . Boltnt I have looked at quiet a few litters this year, litters from Fieldmaster, Walnut Hill, and Desert Rose Kennels. All do Health Clearances and their dogs the tear it up in the field plus the trial circut.
When you can provide both then we will talk about me looking at a puppy from you. |

boltnt, I wouldn't take it personally about the OFA. It is a requirement to post a litter here...and directed towards the betterment of the breed. If you haven't already, you might want to check out http://www.offa.org/ I watched several of your videos on youtube, and these pups look beautiful, home raised, and well taken care of. It's just about following the rules of participation and definitely not fibbing if you don't have the clearances. |

you are sooo on the ball with this statement - which is why the requirements to post a litter are in existence and only those breeders who do the clearances are accepted on this site.
We are friendly - you see otherwise b/c you don't meet the basic standards for breeding and want to sell puppies in a wider audience. It's a slum lord attitude- the most return on the least invested.

Totally agree. Lets the site admins govern the site and enforce the rules. Leaving for the rest of (us/them) - (visitors or members) the freedom to do the comments on the subject of relevancy. In this instance the look of the pups. Slumlord attitude is when you covering an absence of the substance with a paperwork. Look like a mutt- act like a mutt – but got a hip certificate? You do not shop the cars by their warranty first. #1. Make
# 2. Model. #3. Style. #4 Overall look and just after that you are looking into the warranties.
Almost none of you friendly people here had comments on the subject. But most of you were in the rush to shoot the orders out. I do not argue against the site rules if the certification is required so be it. But like I said –the pups are sold - all of them went to the hunting families who treasure the quality of the pups and do not care about papers, which guaranties nothing by the way. Have a nice day everyone. I’m busy hunting now- lots of pheasant this year. |

I think you may have misunderstood.No one is questioning paper work or their being pure bred.No one cares.We care about producing healthy dogs that will produce healthy dogs,ect,ect.
What a dog looks like or hunts like can not possibly display or predict health and hips. Hips,IMHO,should be the first and foremost on any list of clearances. Clearances can be done on any dog-purebred or not.
It's only 1 part of a seal of a quality breeder.
